![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Practically overnight, Kazuo Tsuburaya was thrust into Noboru’s position. If the situation from Neos never coming to be was bad, things just got worse. ![]() However, Noboru Tsuburaya didn’t have to deal with this blowback for long, due to unfortunately passing in June of that year. With the show now being shelved for a long time, this campaign quickly became viewed as a waste of time and money. This was really bad for Tsupro, who had already begun a massive merchandise/PR campaign revolving around Neos and his upcoming show. No networks wanted to pick up a show based on the pilot and investors didn’t support the project enough to push it further. The pilot for the show was a complete and total dud. It was late 1995 and nobody Tsupro showed Ultraman Neos to, liked it. On that note, let us begin with the story of Ultraman Tiga’s behind the scenes. The story of Tiga behind the scenes was the story of a CEO that didn’t know what hubris meant, a toy company, and a group of writers scattered across the city, also Hiroshi Maruyama. Ultraman Tiga, while it was filled with a great amount of ambition, was an oddly slapped together work that found itself out along the way. Because of this people believe that Tiga was the result of that aforementioned precision planning, something that was on the back burner, that was just lying in wait. Ultraman Tiga has a reputation for ushering in a new era in the Tokusatsu medium. Beginnings are often something that requires precision planning and a strong vision for what is to come afterwards. ![]()
